Hola! My name is Hawa, the African ninja and creator of HawaBunga.com! I’ve decided to create a blog in 2020 - yes I know...late ASF but it’s never too late to create. I sometimes get an idea that I want to try - something that I feel I would enjoy. But then, I do this thing where I talk myself out of it because I’m afraid... afraid of failure! 

But, here I am! Ready to add a new chapter to my book. This blog along with my YouTube channel is my way of telling my negative thoughts to f*ck off! I’m doing what I want and inviting you all on my journey! 

So here is the tea! My blog is a captivating digital space where I can share my thoughts and ideas, from beauty tips, organization & decor ideas, make-up, healthy eats & fitness to just sharing my journey as a mother & wife. I am excited to share lifestyle content that's relatable to all women! So...come! I invite you into my digital home where we can even chit-chat over mimosas on Sundays! I am super authentic & transparent and I'm here to motivate and inspire you the best way I can!

Well.. since you asked...I live in Maryland, right outside of Washington D.C with my husband and two kids. My son, Kristian (KD) is 12 years old and my daughter, Aubrey (Mama) is 4 years old. I am African-American but more African than American, even though I’ve never been to Africa - but trust me it’s coming soon! Both of my parents are from Sierra Leone, West Africa.    I am a full time ninja and I also work in Property Management which I truly enjoy! If I’m not watching ratchet TV, you can catch me watching the HGTV channel. Oh...and I love crabs and french fries! Boujee & Basic!
